Might be better to use your A clarinet then - will it be easy to change back
to your Bb when you need to? Or what about on an Eb clarinet?

Sort of, and maybe that's as good as it gets, but the G# doesn't sound close
enough pitch-wise to my ear and and is very stuffy. Doesn't sound like a
bird call. Maybe there is another trick?
