You are right Bill, but we both are. It is not at all uncommon for a
dying ensemble to have an enormous bloom immediately prior to its
demise. It's like a very sick apple tree. It's final blossoming is
astoundingly prolific, almost as if it knows it is about to die and, as
such, wants to produce as many seeds as possible.

But for all intents and purposes, the dance band was over on Dec. 7,
1941 except that it coughed along for a few years. Today, like the
Harmonie, it is having a resurgence.
