My comment takes care of both these issues.
If one plays the passage on Bb clarinet the triplet run goes
less far into the throat tones (ie up to an A instead of a Bb)
and is easier.
Also, on Bb clarinet the "cat up the tree" run goes to a high F,
which slurs to an E
more easily than the high Gb slurs to an F (especially in p).
