Hi Carol,
Actually my clarinet went to George-Ciprian, another student in
Romania whom I had read about in March's issue of THE CLARINET. I ended
up having to pay $120 for Romanian customs and I have been a little bit
depressed recently because he hasn't written back yet to tell me how the
clarinet is working for him. His girlfriend, Stefania, who's English is
better than his, did write to tell me that they got the clarinet. They
have to go to a friend's house who has email, and it costs them to send
email. They have very little money, not even enough to eat regular
meals, which are usually potatoes every other day. I do hope that I hear
from him soon, because I was looking forward to hearing about his
studies, and also his reaction to the enclosed VANDOREN 5 RV mouthpiece
and a box of V-12 reeds. ANNIE
