The side to side brush technique never worked for me, but Robert Spring's
techniqe did right away. You use the syllables TIH-KIH TIH-KIH, but the
key is that the KIH part is not back in the throat, but high and FORWARD on
the roof of the mouth. That leaves the throat open, which is necessary for
the tone to continue. Its not so hard to find the right spot for the KIH.
Forward and high in the mouth, away from the throat.
