I'm still marching at age 60. We've had several march into their 80s. It's
good exercise especially for the lungs. I use a Yamaha student plastic model
left over from my daughter's junior high days. I'm not tempted to take my
R-13 Prestige anywhere near a street except in its case.

Just watch out for potholes!! It's particularly bad here in the Northeast
after the winter we had. St. Patrick's Day was a real challenge. I always
thought marching behind horses was the only problem. Memorize the music and
keep one eye on the ground!!

I'm the proud owner of a new Buffet B-12 - after trying out a half doz. i
settled on the loudest, brightest one i could find to blow them away on the
streets <ive decided to march....wish me luck at 42 i hope my knees dont
give out> Anyway, for those of you with students, i highly recomend the
B-12 - i was very impressed with it. Although not as good as my '72 R-13 i
use in concert band - the key action and intonation were every bit as good.
