I wasn't directing my comments to anybody in particular... I just wanted to
tell the list what a stand-up guy Stoltzman is to follow Roger's comments.
As for Manasse.... Please get your story right. I never said he was bland.
Quite the opposite, in fact. He is a very interesting person and a
fantastic player. I didn't happen to agree with his teaching methods and
that is why I elected to study with Kenneth Grant instead. I have a
tremendous amount of respect for him as a player and teacher. His students
all love him, too. I just was trained early on with a different set of
beliefs by my teachers.
