Personally, I am dumbfounded by the variety of petty and vitriolic comments made
about Jonathan Cohler's concert notice. In recent memory, there have been no
negative comments made about concert notices placed by other list members, in
fact, only positive and supportive comments, if any. While I am not a
psychologist, my nose does work just fine, and I'm beginning to smell sour grapes
here. Why are some of you nitpicking about something so unimportant? Jealousy,
perhaps? Here we have a highly successful clarinetist proudly telling us (who
are a part of his community) of a concert he's about to play, and wanting those
of us nearby to share in it. Why can't we just applaud him and wish him
success? Even though I'm far away and can't attend, I like knowing about all
these concerts coming up. I am happy for Jonathan, and I hope those of you on
the list who have an upcoming concert will let us know via this list! Best
wishes, Jonathan!
