Next month I have the very rare (for me) opportunity to be in France for 10 days. Aside from the museums and tourist stuff I was considering a visit to Buffet facility if this is possible and perhaps a clarinet purchase. The dollar is over 7 FF. Are instruments less expensive as a result.? Where is the factory located and is it possible for "non-big name" performers to visit? To sample instruments? Can instruments be purchased there or can someone recommend shops in Paris?
I am sure others on the list have done this. Your thoughts...any suggestions?
