Schubert wrote a beautiful piece "The Shepherd on the Rock" for
clarinet, piano and voice (soprano). I believe that Harold Wright
recorded it. I'm not sure if it's actually sacred, but I would play it

Subject: [kl] music for clarinet

I'm looking for some music I can play for church (solo; w/ piano
accompaniment; clarinet and voice - this interests me a lot; etc.). I've
played the traditional Baptist hymns and such, but would like something I
could really sink my teeth into, so that I can possibly open my conservative
church's eyes to the existence of sacred music with a bit more depth. I am
open to any suggestions of specific pieces, composers, arrangers, or
places/methods of obtaining this music. Thank you.
