Sue,

Just recently, I did music for a memorial - 50 years after the deportation of the
Jews from Lörrach with a clarinet trio. Some pieces I found could be done with
one clarinet alone if you want to play just some simple melodies - which might be
appropriate. One was a "hebrew melodie", very plaintive. I must have left the
book (for flute and piano but you could play it on the clarinet without accomp.)
at the music school. I could bring it home tonight. Another is "Ami-Mamin/I
Believe" Otherwise, I talked to a member of the Jewish community here and we came
up with some songs which he had music and words to: "From the Top of Mount
Scopus/Me-al Pisgat Har-Ha-Tzofim" and "Jerusalem of Gold/Yerushalayim Shel
Zahav" were the favorites.

If it sounds interesting, let me know and I can get you the details.

David
