My favorite bass clarinet player? Eric Dolphy. Truly an individual
sound, but perhaps not the genre you are looking for.

Roger Heaton has an album full of nice bass clarinetting (and lots of
clarinetting period), all him overdubbed. Our own Roger Garrett has a
CD call "Extended Clarinets" that should be good -- my friend Jennifer
Nelson is listed on it, and she's a great bass clarinet player -- but I
haven't bought it yet.
