There's a guy who has been trying to sell a new Yamaha CX on eBay a couple
of times, now, at $999 and never gets any takers.

On the other hand, I just bought a ten-year old Yamaha 72CS on eBay for
$600. My technician looked it over and thought it was a very fair price.

So I would guess that your student's clarinet would fall in between those
two numbers.
