Gary,

I think I'm the one making them. They will be wood - most likely oak (as
it is the most readily available), although they can be of other woods
too. Lacquered finish - natural or stained.

I own several Harrison cases - as David N. mentioned - and they have a
limited life-span (although I have refinished these and they look good when
done). The hardware on the ones I am building will be different - the
hinges will not be so flimsy, and the catches will be push catches like
those on another case I have. The brass clasps look ok, but the break and
bend - not so good.

As I mentioned to David, I will do many of these cases with plexiglass -
and before anyone reacts negatively, I have two cases I bought from David
Shifrin (who used to have a source for some) and they have lasted over 20
years. The reeds always store very well in them, and the plexiglass will
keep the cost down. There will be people who want glass - not plexiglass -
so those will be available too.

I'm guessing $25-30 range right now. I'll know more when they are built.
