Yes, I know I'm talking to clarinet people, but a few of you are
doublers and play bassoon.

I'm making bassoon reeds in a big way. My targeted market is my home
state, Utah. At 4,700 feet and with very dry air on average, getting a
reed to play here is a big problem. Hopefully, I will be able to offer
young bassoonist in my state a quality reed that actually plays here.

Out of curiosity, I would like to find out if my reeds will play on
other parts of the country. If so, maybe I could expand my market. Would
any of you like to try my reeds? I'll happily send you a sample, BUT I
would appreciate getting some feedback. I want to know if what works
here will end up being too soft in areas that are more favorable, places
that are lower in elevation and have higher humidity.

If you're interested, email me personally and include a mailing address.

Thanks,

Richard Bush
