If you're playing five hours a day (congratulations) it is possible you
might be playing through the problem. Check carefully the seating of the
G#/D# (Ab/Eb) pad. It could be leaking. Also check the tuning on low F. Most
Buffets are miserably flat on this note and that is normal. It is possible
that the two bottom pads, the F key over the low G tone hole and the E key,
over the low F tone hole are too open. Buffet has traditionally honored the
tuning at the bottom of the second register at the expense of the two lowest
pitches on their R-13's.

You might also consider the possibility that the Bb/register vent is opening
too far. The venting for this thumb key should be less than the thickness of
a dime. It should be between 0.025" and 0.029" when placing feeler gauges
between the body and cork at the touch end of the register key.
