Thanks for the response.

Buffet R13.
Low G little sharp, not as bad as the 12th/ D
F-F#-G resonance is even. I did lower the
pad hight just a bit.

I don't think it is me. The A-clarinet intonation
is smooth throughout the range. I have not been
playing it as much lately.

A thought.....
I have been doing a show, just clarinet, no doubles,
and playing lots of Bb, 5 hrs a day of playing.
Winter in Ottawa is very dry. Lots of forced air heating.
The lower half of my reeds even dry out as I'm playing
in some rooms. I wonder if the upper joint is swollen
with moisture from playing much more then the lower joint
exaggerating the problem.
I think some compressed cork resulted in excessive pad height
for the lowest pads. Correcting this has improved it somewhat,
but not satisfactory. I wrapped the lower joint in a plastic bag
with a very tiny bit of moisture.

Questions: What is correct pad height for lowest pads.

Does this seasonal effect on intonation make sense.

Thanks
Dave Renaud
