David,
Lee Levine, Principal in the Nashville Symphony, uses
plain ol' adhesive tape. As far as the placement
goes, if I remember our conversation correctly (and
trying to visualize her horn), she places the tape
where it fixes the problem; i.e., if the first
placement doesn't get her what she wants, she
re-places it until it works for her.
