Klarinet Archive - Posting 000153.txt from 2001/03
From: MVinquist@-----.com Subj: [kl] Extra Characters Date: Tue, 6 Mar 2001 06:31:52 -0500
Tom Wood asked: >Mark, why did I get so many extra, (nonsensical), characters
in Ken Shaw's posting about sight reading? i.e. =20; =E2=80=99; =E2=80=9C?>
Mark -
Actually, I wondered the same thing. I wrote it in the editor I have always
used (Compuserve Create Mail). I suppose it got sent in a different format
because I used italics and underlining for some subheadings (which I hadn't
done before). It came back to me in the Digest with the same garbage.
Tom - You can cut and paste the text into any word processor and use the
replace function to replace the "@-----. If
anyone wants, I can remove the formatting and re-post.
Plain vanilla for me from now on.
Ken Shaw
