I bought a used bass clarinet recently, and wanted the neck "bent" and also to
have a tuning sleeve inserted. Charles Bay agreed to do the work, but perhaps
that is because I had purchased a Bay neck and mouthpiece set already, for the
previous bass I was playing. He did sound kind of reluctant about the whole
thing until I mentioned that I owned one of his sets. I'm going to continue
using the Bay mouthpiece and ligature with the altered neck.
