Then, given your experiments, it's probably a clarinet in B natural,
isn't it? I seem to remember hearing that Buffet-Crampon made them, but
I've never seen one.

I wonder who originally owned these instruments? I'd have expected a C
clarinet in such a case, because there's almost no repertoire for the B
clarinet that I know of.

Anyway, you're lucky. Now you can play one number in Cosi fan tutte as
Mozart originally wrote it:-)
