Fourteen is a very likely age for diabetes onset. It's a simple matter to
check: find an acquaintance who is diabetic and ask him or her to give you
the same kind of blood test that he or she is doing several times a day.
This person will know what constitutes a normal blood glucose level. Most
diabetics don't discover that they're diabetic until they're in the
emergency room, so don't wait to check it out: even hypochondriacs can get
sick.
