I simply don't understand what you have posted here. It would be helpful
if you explained in greater detail.

Again - in what way do you a) determine the reed's sound when it is warped
and b) the sound is destroyed after you have incorrectly (your words)
sandpapered the reed?

Please explain how removing material prior to warping with a knife doesn't
destroy the sound but removing material prior to warping with sandpaper
does.......

Nice to see you finally reported something that you have experienced
personally!!!

Considering that you have not had actually tested it, I understand your
assumption, but I feel you should test it first and then report your findings.
