Bill,

Does the Shifrin trio sound "rustic" to you?

After the darkness of the string quartet trio I wouldn't know how to make
"rustic" work except perhaps as an answer in kind to those deadbeat strings
but in a major key. It's wonderful. I've never thought of the third
movement in those terms.
