Oliver, I am enormously grateful for the effort you put in to give me
several suggested sites on the matter of the Landler. But like the
suggestion made by Fred Jackobovitz, I just can't come to the point
where I am prepared to accept the thing called the Landler today and the
thing that was the Lander 200 years ago. The fact that the two dances
bear the same name doesn't establish that one can be used to understand
the other.
