I'm in one of thse moods tonight.....

..... if you search on Google for 'Landler Austria', you'll find a
page that discusses how the shoes that were worn for dancing the Landler
changed circa 1800. If there is enough evidence to discuss the shoes
worn for this dance in Austria pre-1800 vs. post-1800, then I think we
have to accept that the dance existed in Austria at that time.
