The mouthpiece that comes with Keilwerth saxophones isn't all that different
from a Meyer. (Of course, you might have a bad one). Shouryu's
recommendations are pretty much in line with what I would tell you -- but I
have 2 favorites that I would urge you to try as well.

First, try the Brilhart 3*. It's a bit more mellow than the Meyers, and
with a harder reed can get a decent "classical" saxophone tone. A little
bit softer reed and it works well for jazz (at least it did for a whole
bunch of folks, like Johnny Hodges, Maceo Parker and the entire Woody Herman
band in the mid-50's). Best of all, it's CHEAP -- thirty bucks or so mail
order.

If you want a truly fine concert/"classical"/"legitimate" sound (silly
labels all -- any idea what a good one would be?), please try the Sigurd
Rascher. It's not for everyone, but to those folks (like me) who think of
his sound as the model, it works very well indeed. It's basically a copy of
the early 20th-century Buescher; close tip with a HUGE bore. It is also
relatively inexpensive.

Both of these mouthpieces are plastic, so be sure to use a mouthpiece patch
with them lest your top teeth gouge too much.
