If it's only open G and it's all the time, it almost has to be something
(dirt of some kind or the skin from a torn pad) partially blocking the tone
hole right above the left-hand first finger hole. Either you or a repair
tech needs to take the "A" key off, then remove the key pair that includes
the index finger ring and the pad cup that covers the hole above the
left-hand index finger. Depending on your instrument's exact design, you may
need to remove one or two other pieces of keywork to get that top pad cup
off and out of the way. Look in the hole and inspect the pad.
