Dear Listers -

I am currently studying the Debussy with Scott Ellington, an Eastman student
of Professor Stanley Hasty. We are using Scott's copy which Professor Hasty
had generously marked with his preferred interpretation. I find that in
many cases, these markings make a lot more sense than those printed in the
Durand 1910 edition.

However, since I don't believe that I have heard a recording of the
Rhapsodie for many years, I am curious to know if there any good recordings
available, such as the arguably definitive Marcellus Mozart. (I know that
some say the Marcellus is a little dull, but I found it great to build on
with a few interpretive changes of my own and Scott's. At least you don't
have to suffer "vibratoed" Mozart in the Marcellus.)

This is what I am looking for in a Debussy recording. The "fastest"
show-off recording is of little interest to me. But, one that tastily and
musically handles the numerous tempo changes would be of considerable
interest to me.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Regards,
