The shoe laces for athletic shoes makes an excellent cord for the
pull-through swab....they're a cloth tube. Cut the ends off, sew across the
lace about 2" from the end (making a small compartment,) and slip in 6 or so
of those small "split-shot" sinkers (weights) the fishermen crimp onto their
fishing line, sew across the end of the lace, sew the lace to the hankie,
and Viola! you have a strong chord with the weights padded by the material.
