I forgot to say that one should not give up playing
the clarinet until one has played Spohr's Octet
at least once (cl 2hn vn 2va vc db)

I also have time for Prince Louis Ferdinand's Octet
(cl 2hn 2va 2vc pf) ! Not bad for a military man.
Hummel would have been quite pleased to have
written this.
