Not all high school students miss the opportunity to put on/play in=20
shows... I know that most of the high schools in my area hire musicians to=
=20
play in the pits of musicals, but my school still does it the old fashioned=
=20
way by having anybody in the school who happens to play an instrument=20
called for gets the part... this of course delegates most of the parts to=20
the band... but I got to play the 3rd wind book of Guys and Dolls last=20
year, so I had to "learn" tenor sax as well as clarinet... it was tough=20
getting it all, but I learned a lot and had a ton of fun. This year, we're=
=20
doing Grease, and I look forward to seeing the books for it....
