Klarinet Archive - Posting 000467.txt from 2001/02
From: Mark Charette <charette@-----.org> Subj: [kl] Mirroring the Klarinet archives Date: Mon, 12 Feb 2001 19:28:41 -0500
For those of you who are "tech weenies" and would like to have your very own mirror of the Klarinet archives, I've opened up a public rsync server (rsync v. 2.4.6) on the backup machine.
To get the full distribution (to get things going) use:
rsync -az server01.sneezy.org::Full /path/to/your/local/copy
After that use
rsync -az server01.sneezy.org::2001 /path/to/your/local/copy
so you just get the updates.
I have a Windows version of rsync running, however it doesn't do cr/lf translations so the files are almost unusable under Windows. If you have Cygwin running then compiling & running the latest rsync sources (http://rsync.samba.org) will work fine.
If you have no clue as to what I'm talking about - don't despair. It _is_ a foreign language :^)
