Of course, the difference here is that the body of the violin is SUPPOSED
to resonate by design. In fact, it MUST or the sound will not project at
all. Thus one would EXPECT significant changes in such an experiment. If
done with a clarinet, I'm sure the results would be FAR less dramatic.
