Thanks to all for the info! I've still got a couple Bay patches left, so if
I can't get them to work after some tinkering, I suppose it's time to branch
out and try some other brands.

I figured that the problem probably wasn't the mouthpiece itself, but it
seems like there's always a possible cause that nobody had ever thought of.
I just figured I'd have it either confirmed or dismissed immediately.
