Hey, guys:

The old AM separation standard IN THE U.S. was 10khz. It is now 5khz in
certain situations. Other international radio spectrum regions have other
standards. (I have a 20 yr. old Sony digital receiver with a switch for
10khz or 9 khz - which I assume to be the Japanese standard) Every pair of
frequencies has a differential frequency. Non-harmonic frequencies have
beats.
