I just tried a quick action denture cleaner on two of my mouthpieces. It
is called Double Action Polident and is billed as "Cleans in 5 Minutes."
It comes as tablets that foam when dropped into a glass of warm water.

I used just one and let the mouthpiece tips soak for the recommended
five minutes. It did a good job of cleaning off the calcium deposits. If
it is "people safe" for dentures that go into peoples' mouths, then it
is also safe for mouthpiece cleaning.
