???????I wonder why the Leblanc Concerto doesn't seem to require the field
repair of the Hasty Pad.
I say this as a bit of humor, but maybe someone on the list could venture a
guess or an opinion.

Subject: [kl] Hasty Pads
Can anyone shed some light on the Hasty Pad, which was mentioned by one of
our members. It sounds very useful. I would love to know where to get hold
of one to try out.
I have a pupil who is tending to get unwanted undertones. I have worked
very hard on his embouchure, breath support, all to little avail. On trying
his instrument, a Buffet R13, I find that I actually get the undertone
myself which is not the normal. The instrument has been to the repairer,
who has talked to her repairer friends and they say that it is a pretty
normal problem for R13s, much to my amazement.
The Hasty Pad might help him out, so I'd quite like to give it a shot.
Francis
