I concede that not ALL thought is verbal, but most political, intellectual,
philosophical, reasoning type thought certainly is. Art is admittedly
largely non-verbal, yet discussion of it must use words, of course, some of
them mis-applied, as in your example of "feeling" an idea is wrong. You
can FEEL sad, lonely, sympathetic, etc., but you must THINK about
ideas. And even blind people say, "I see." It is a figure of speech.
