I have a barrel that was given to me that Rovner made quite a few years ago
that is square on the inside. It plays badly for me. Maybe it played badly
for many others which could be why they stopped making it. It is a plastic
or rubber barrel (like the Pynes) and it took me quite a while to find out
who made it since there is no name on it. Judging from this shape, I would
think the shape of the inside would have a lot to do with the sound.
