You may want to look at http://www.whistleshop.com. They have a
child's recorder for the grand sum of $6.95 + s&h that plays in the key
of C (and plays C when you finger C). It can play a few sharps and
flats as well, thereby giving you more than one key.

For another $6.65, you get a book of 30 easy Irish songs (but no
tutorial).

Hmmmm.... I'm always trying to steer my daughter away from rap music.
I think she needs surpise gift for cleaning her room next weekend......
