You know what I use? I ran out of cork grease a while back, and I had to use
this chocolate lip balm in the meantime. Well, I'm still using the chocolate
stuff, and my horn smells great and it keeps me pacified. I haven't noticed
it doing any harm whatsoever to my corks, but I don't plan on using it
exclusively, either. Try that, Bil. :)

Bill, you've created a serious threat to my self proclaimed title of
"King of Cork Grease" - I've tried them all, including Mink Oil (the
silicone kind - please, no flames from the PETA crowd on the list!)

Anyway, Dr. Slick, made by Sneezy sponsor "The Clarinet Doctor" smells
good, holds its consistency, and seems to keep the corks from drying and
compacting. Its maker labels the main ingredient "nature's teflon". I've
given it to my colleagues and students, and they all seem to like it
better than the commercial stuff.

Bill, you've got to get a life... ;- )
