You should NOT remove the springs (or posts!!!!)! But once you get into
it, you will notice there are quite a few cases where part B must be
removed before part A, even if you don't need on work on part B. The same
applies to re-assembly. You can do one JOINT at a time, to keep the loose
piece count lower.

It sounds from this and your other posts like your instrument really should
have major work done. It should be well worth the $100-$150 to just bite
the bullet and get it done. You will develop bad habits fighting the leaks.
