Dear Bill,
I unintentionally started all of this by writing a letter to Sneezy
about a week or so ago in response to somebody wanting to know how to
find a better mouthpiece. I had suggested that he try out the same
mouthpiece of somebody whose tone he admired. I'm sorry now that I ever
wrote the letter. I am also a jazz player although I started as a
classical player and still adore the tone of Jon Manasse. In recent
years I have started to use softer reeds, (Rico "Evolution" #3) and I
know exactly how you feel. I am very curious to know who was the
clarinet teacher who made you go through all this grief. ANNIE
