No, but who would know what you were talking about if you said you were
going to play the Grand Partita? You might be asked, "by whom?". Say
you're playing the Gran Partitta, and the reply would be, "where'd you get
the basset horns?". I say leave it the way it was - a curiosity. If you
like, you could subtitle your programme notes with the correct spelling!

anonymous scribe was reflecting Mozart's desire that the title be spelled in
this way?
