I imagine that there must be a market for a cdrom (or PC program) for

be something, somewhere...
Yes, there is. Some mail order catalogs have computer programs
for intonation and interval rhythm training for both PC and Macintosh.
A few names that I see in one catalog that I have (in the U.S.) are:
Practica Musica ($95 US price range)
Fanfare ($80 US price range)
MacGamut (Macintosh only) ($35 US price range)
The descriptions (in the catalog) of these programs are not complete,
and therefore I can't tell you exactly how much training each of them
includes. I've never used any of them, and therefore I can't say
whether the training is effective or not.
There are also programs in the $300-$500 (US) range that (according to
the catalog) listen to your playing and analyze it and give your playing
a 'grade' and offer suggestions for the next lesson. Again, I have no
experience with them.
The catalog to which I refer --- but I imagine there are others -- is
available from info@-----.com)
Cheers,
Bill
