Subj: [kl] Grand Partita Recording

I've been asked to help out on the Grand Partita with a local community
orchestra This is a cause for celebration, as I regard it as perhaps
his finest work. At any rate, it's *my* favorite. Since I haven't
played it for almost 20 years, I looked for my recording to give it a
listen.

Alas! The only recording I own is on vinyl. After an unfortunate
scientific experiment by my three-year-old son involving peanut butter,
a pair of pliers and my turntable, I am incapable of listening to it.
Besides, it wasn't a very good recording, and even if I fix the record
player, I won't be able to listen in my car.

So I'm in the market for a CD of the Grad Partita. Can anyone recommend
an exquisite recording -- or alternatively, one they really like?

Thanks muchly!

kjf

P.S. Ann -- I prefer the waxed dental floss. I don't know if it works
better on clarinets or not, but it doesn't get stuck between my teeth so
much.
