Mr. Galper --

With your sharp wit, could this be autobiographical???

Subject: [kl] Cahuzac

Louis Cahuzac

One of the worlds famous clarinetists. Lived most of his life in France.

His playing was legendary. Recording and played solos for clarinet and
orchestra almost to the day he died.
The story I read in an article (appeared in the International Clarinet
magazine) was that a certain clarinet player was playing in some
orchestra.
The conductor stopped and said "Could you please play like Cahuzac?'
The player retorted by saying: "Do I ask you to conduct like Toscanini?"
