Oh? I ordered and received my Eb Legere in March, 1999, through the ordinary
retail channel. I was certainly left with the impression that it was a
"finished product"; there was no indication it was a "prototype".

Perhaps it would be more accurate to say "they are in the process of being
redesigned". I'm not sure that's a Good Thing.

FWIW, the reed is fabulous. It's made a larger improvement in my Eb playing
than any other single thing I've tried.
