Subj: [kl] sticky tapes for temporary tenon tightening
Date: Mon, 15 Jan 2001 14:02:11 -0500

Just a clarification.
The tapes "Teflon" or "plumbers sealing tape", are NOT adhesive.
They stretch to fill the gaps in the surface, such as the threads
in a plumbing fixture before assembly. If done with a little care,
water tight, and always easy to disassemble.

To be honest, it never occurred to me to use on air assemblies, i.e. tenons.
should work, though more temporary as you are always "disassembling"

best wishes!
